EPL Fantasy: Premier League Week 25 Lineup

The Premier League season continues this Saturday with six games on the schedule. While that means plenty of options to choose from in DraftKings EPL fantasy competitions, we narrowed down our options to focus on the best superstar talent and some strong matchup-based sleeper options to compliment them throughout our roster. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s DraftKings EPL fantasy competitions.

GK: Lee Grant, Stoke

Salary: $5,200

Stoke has an opportunity to get back on track with its first win in three matches in a favorable matchup with Crystal Palace on Saturday. Grant will be responsible for holding down the fort at the back end but he shouldn’t have too much work to do to register a clean sheet win versus a Crystal Palace side that is tied with Sunderland for the worst record in the Premier League this season.

D: Maya Yoshida, Southampton

Salary: $3,100

While Stoke gets CP, Southampton should have its way with Sunderland in another favorable matchup. Sunderland surprised in its last outing with a 4-0 blowout win over CP but should come crashing back down to earth in what should be a low scoring game against Yoshida and Southampton.

D: Ryan Shawcross, Stoke

Salary: $3,000

After locking in Yoshida at just over $3K, we turn right back to another low priced EPL fantasy value option on the back end in Shawcross. Stoke will have a very good chance at shutting the door on CP and that could mean a clean sheet bonus for a quality sleeper pick in Shawcross.

M: Christian Eriksen, Tottenham

Salary: $9,500

After committing just $6.1K to our defender picks we are able to load up on the attacking positions beginning with the top midfielder on the board in Eriksen. Spurs will have its hands full with Liverpool on Saturday but it should be a high scoring game and that will mean a big game from Eriksen in a key clash with major implications at the top of the table.

M: Steven Davis, Southampton

Salary: $3,900

Davis isn’t a high priced option by any means but he is coming off a solid performance for Sunderland and his price tag alone makes him an incredible value play. Davis could easily produce another strong performance against Sunderland and at a very reasonable price as a strong value pick in this week’s EPL fantasy tournaments.

F: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Manchester United

Salary: $9,700

It only makes sense to go back to the top of the list when it comes to the most expensive forwards available as we have nearly $30K left over to spend on our final three positions. Ibrahimovic has looked dangerous every time he has touched the ball of late and he should find the score sheet in a date with Watford this weekend.

Manchester United enters the week in a disappointing sixth place. They will be looking to make a move with a winnable game in front of them versus a team that is lower than them in the standings. They have been more reliable at the back end than on offense in terms of EPL fantasy as they’ve scored just 36 goals so far this year. They’ve allowed just 21, though, which means that only two other teams have allowed less than them.

F: Harry Kane, Tottenham

Salary: $8,900

Kane is another very expensive forward option that we can afford thanks to our smart value hunting at the defender and midfield positions. Kane will be involved in a high scoring matchup with Liverpool and we like him to deliver one of the top fantasy performances of the week regardless of position. Tottenham enters the week in second place with 50 points in 24 games so far this season.

FLEX: Marco Gabbiadini, Southampton

Salary: $6,700

With exactly $6.7K left over to address our final FLEX position, Gabbiadini just happens to be the best option remaining on the board and one that we feel very confident with. Southampton should find a way to register a win over Sunderland and that means a strong performance from Gabbiadini as an underrated midfield option this weekend.
