EPL Fantasy: Saturday’s DraftKings Lineup

The sixth round of the FA Cup has led to a reduced schedule in the Premier League for this weekend, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty of money up for grabs on DraftKings EPL fantasy. The key will be maximizing the potential of your roster in Daily Fantasy Leagues despite the severe lack of options to choose from. With only three games on the schedule for Saturday, it will be that much more important to do your research and find the perfect combination for your starting XI. Here are some options to consider with our optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings EPL Fantasy Leagues.

GK: Joe Hart, Manchester City

Salary: $4,500

Manchester City snapped a string of three straight Premier League losses with a 4-0 win over Aston Villa in their last game and they have another favorable matchup this weekend against another team staring down relegation in Norwich City. Hart should be a lock for the victory with a good chance he earns a clean sheet bonus.

D: Charlie Daniels, Bournemouth

Salary: $4,600

Bournemouth is coming off back-to back wins and is undefeated in its last three league games. Daniels has been very productive this season with three goals and a team-high five assists, so it makes sense to roll with him as our top defender option in EPL fantasy.

D: Simon Francis, Bournemouth

Salary: $2,600

Francis hasn’t been as productive as Daniels, but he is available at $2K less than his teammate and that makes him a strong value option. Swansea is among the lowest scoring teams in the Premier League this season and if Bournemouth can shut them down then Daniels and Francis will both receive clean sheet bonuses.

D: Geoff Cameron, Stoke City

Salary: $2,500

Cameron has been a consistent option for Stoke City and his relatively low price tag allows us to veer away from the other two matchups when building our roster. He doesn’t have much offensive upside, but he is a strong defender option that will allow us to spend more money where we need it more.

M: Matt Ritchie, Bournemouth

Salary: $6,600

Ritchie is tied with Daniels for the team lead in assists this season with five and that makes him one of the most attractive midfield options available for Saturday’s DraftKings contests.

M: Dan Gosling, Bournemouth

Salary: $3,500

Gosling hasn’t been as good of a playmaker for Bournemouth this season, but he does have three goals and 23 starts. The fact that he is available for almost half the price that Ritchie is available at makes him a decent value option.

M: Andrew Surman, Bournemouth

Salary: $2,700

We didn’t intentionally want to have three Bournemouth players filling out our midfield positions, but Surman is available at a ridiculous $2.7K and that makes him too hard to pass on. Surman hasn’t sored and only has two assists this season, but he has made 29 starts and is the perfect value play to plug in this final midfield spot.

F: Sergio Aguero, Manchester City

Salary: $9,000

The money that we saved by using Cameron and Surman allows us to spend big on the top forward option available for Saturday in Aguero. Manchester City should be able to find a way to break through versus Norwich and there is a very good chance that Aguero will add to his team-high 16 goals this season as he leads their attack.

F: Wilfried Bony, Manchester City

Salary: $5,000

The upside isn’t as high with Bony as it is with Aguero, but it makes a lot of sense to corner the market and lock in City’s top two striker options on a relatively quiet weekend in the Premier League. Bony isn’t that expensive either so we have no problem taking a chance on him in this spot.

FLEX: Benik Afobe, Bournemouth

Salary: $4,700

Afobe is one back of Callum Wilson for the team lead in goals this season with four and he should have his chances to produce again this Saturday. Afobe is another quality option available at under $5K so it makes sense to bank on his upside for this FLEX spot.

FLEX: Bacary Sagna, Manchester City

Salary: $3,700

Sagna has been one of City’s most reliable players all season and fits nicely in to our final FLEX spot with the remaining cap space that we have available. The allure of a potential clean sheet bonus along with Sagna’s relatively low price tag helped make this decision an easy one.
