EPL Fantasy: Week 14 Lineup

Week 14 of the Premier League season kicks off on Saturday with seven games on the schedule. That will mean plenty of options to choose from when it comes to building a winning lineup in DraftKings daily fantasy league competitions. We took the time to break down the numbers in order to provide you with the best possible combination of star talent and sleeper value picks in order to help you build a winning lineup. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings EPL fantasy leagues.

GK: Hugo Lloris, Tottenham

Salary: $5,800

Tottenham has allowed a Premier League-low 10 goals in 13 games this season and they should be in line for another strong defensive performance against a Swansea City side that currently sits second-last in the standings. Swansea has been held to 16 goals in 13 games this season and it won’t shock anybody if Lloris shuts the door on them on Saturday and delivers the clean sheet win.

D: Jan Vertonghen, Tottenham

Salary: $3,600

Vertonghen has been steady on the back line for Spurs and like Lloris, he should benefit in DraftKings competitions from a potential clean sheet bonus. Vertonghen isn’t the most explosive EPL fantasy option but he is a capable play available at a very reasonable price for Saturday’s contests.

D: Robert Huth, Leicester City

Salary: $3,300

Leicester City has underwhelmed early on this season but they will have an excellent opportunity to get their season on track when they clash with a Sunderland side that is buried at the bottom of the relegation zone. Huth has been a steady contributor for the defending Premier League champions this season so we have no reservations about using him here as a strong value option.

M: Riyad Mahrez, Leicester City

Salary: $8,500

If Leicester City is going to get back on track then Mahrez will need to produce up front and he should have an excellent opportunity to find the score sheet against Sunderland. Mahrez has been Leicester’s best player over the last two seasons in the Premier League and we are counting on a strong performance from him in a favorable EPL fantasy matchup this weekend.

M: Dele Alli, Tottenham

Salary: $7,600

We considered using Christian Eriksen in this spot but Alli has been just as effective of late and he is available for a more reasonable price. Hotspurs should have no problem adding to its win total versus Swansea and we are banking on Alli making his mark on the score sheet.

F: Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal

Salary: $9,700

The highest-priced player on the board is well worth the investment in Saturday’s Draftkings fantasy competitions. Arsenal should have no problem scoring goals against a West Ham side that ranks near the bottom of the league in goals allowed per game and Sanchez is clearly their best option. After saving some money with strong value plays at the defender positions, we can spend big on Sanchez as our top striker option up front. Arsenal enters the week in fourth place in the standings with 28 points through 13 games. They have scored 28 goals so while allowing just 13.

F: Charlie Austin, Southampton

Salary: $7,900

Austin scored for his second goal in three games in his last outing versus Everton and should be the perfect compliment to Sanchez as our second forward option. Austin is available at almost $2K less than Sanchez and at under $8K he should be an excellent value play for Saturday’s competitions. Southampton has scored just 13 goals in 13 games so far this season. They enter the week with 17 points in 10th place.

FLEX: Kevin Wimmer, Tottenham

Salary: $3,300

Our final FLEX play will go to another defender from Spurs as the value is too good to pass on with a player like Wimmer. At just $3.3K, Wimmer will be a productive option based on his individual contributions as well as the fact that Tottenham players could be in line for a clean sheet bonus if they can shut down the Swansea attack on Saturday. Tottenham enters the week in fifth place in the EPL standings with 24 points. They have scored 19 goals in 13 games, which is the fifth most in the league. That’s what makes them a decent team to look at for EPL fantasy.
