EPL Fantasy: Week 22 Lineup

There are seven games on the schedule for Saturday’s Premier League action and that will mean plenty of options to choose from in DraftKings fantasy competitions. However, there is one matchup that stands above the rest in terms of value so it makes sense that we will capitalize on the opportunity by building around that matchup this week. Here is a look at this week’s DraftKings EPL fantasy leagues.

GK: Simon Mignolet, Liverpool

Salary: $6,000

While scoring hasn’t been their biggest problem, Swansea City has really struggled of late and is now buried at the bottom of the Premier League table with just four wins on the season. It only makes sense to fade them in their lopsided matchup with Liverpool this week beginning with arguably the best goaltender option on the board in Mignolet. Liverpool enters the week in third place in the EPL standings. They have been a decent option for EPL fantasy in terms of goal scoring as their 49 goals lead the league.

D: Dejan Lovren, Liverpool

Salary: $3,600

Liverpool has held its last five opponents to just four goals in total with two of those markers coming in a draw with Sunderland. Liverpool should be able to keep the Swansea City attack in check and if they close the door it could mean a clean sheet bonus for Lovren and Mignolet.

D: Ragnar Klavan, Liverpool

Salary: $3,500

Klavan is another defender option from Liverpool that could benefit from the clean sheet bonus on Saturday. Lovren and Klavan are both available at very reasonable price tags so it makes sense to stack them as our top two defender options.

M: Adam Lallana, Liverpool

Salary: $7,700

The final piece from Liverpool’s roster that should be in the majority of DraftKings lineups for this weekend is Lallana, who has been one of their best and most consistent midfielders this season. Lallana is still available at a very reaonsable price under $8K so it makes sense to roll with him in this spot.

M: Marko Arnautovic, Stoke City

Salary: $6,100

Arnautovic led the way for Stoke City last week with a pair of goals in a 3-1 win over Sunderland and they are going to need him to step up again this time around when they play Manchester United on Saturday in what could be a high scoring affair. Stoke City enters the week in ninth place in the EPL standings. They have been so-so at both ends of the pitch in terms of EPL fantasy as they have scored 27 goals in 21 games and allowed 33 in that same span.

F: Sergio Aguero, Manchester City

Salary: $9,100

Manchester City will have its hands full with Tottenham this weekend and they will need their best players to step up in order to get the job done and find a way to win. Aguero has consistently been their best striker and one of the best attacking players in the Premier League this season so we don’t mind spending a little more to lock him in this weekend. Man City has been one of the best teams to look at for EPL fantasy as they have scored 41 goals in 21 games this season. They are one of five teams to have scored 40 goals or more this season.

F: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Manchester United

Salary: $8,800

Ibrahimovic is an outstanding fit for Manchester United, especially if you consider that the matchup with Stoke City will be a high scoring affair. Ibrahimovic has ranked among the highest scoring fantasy players in the Premier League this season regardless of position and the fact that we can still lock him in at under $9K makes him a lock.

FLEX: Chris Brunt, West Brom

Salary: $5,100

Brunt has spent some time at the defender position and in the midfield and with just over $5K left to spend on this final FLEX position he definitely represents the best value in terms of upside and potential. Sunderland has gone four straight matches without a victory so West Brom should be in a decent position to try to keep them from getting back in that win column this weekend.
