EPL Fantasy: Week 27 Daily Fantasy Lineup

The Premier League season continues with a full slate of games on Saturday but with the Manchester Derby and Tottenham’s clash with Stoke City to take place on Sunday, followed by Leicester City taking on Liverpool on Monday, the slate for Saturday isn’t exactly overly appealing. It should be no surprise that we stuck with Chelsea as the main focus for our selections in DraftKings daily fantasy leagues, as they should have the edge over Swansea in their matchup. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings daily EPL fantasy leagues.

GK: Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea

Salary: $6,000

Courtois has ranked among the best fantasy goalkeepers in the Premier League this season and that trend should continue on Saturday when they clash with Swansea. Courtois is obviously the most expensive goalkeeper option on the board but he is definitely worth the investment.

D: Gary Cahill, Chelsea

Salary: $3,700

Cahill is a smart pick for Saturday’s DraftKings lineup as a value pick, since he is listed at under $4K. Swansea has struggled with consistency all season and is currently 15th in the table, so Cahill should be in line for a strong fantasy score.

D: Ashley Williams, Everton

Salary: $3,100

Everton is another club with a strong fantasy matchup as they clash with a Sunderland side that is buried at the bottom of the table. Williams has shown flashes of his fantasy ability this season and should be in for a strong outing this weekend.

M: Eden Hazard, Chelsea

Salary: $9,400

Hazard has consistently been Chelsea’s best midfield option this season and that should continue on the weekend with the Blues in line for a strong outing. Hazard has the potential to put up big numbers and with so few quality options it make sense to lock him in as our top midfielder.

M: Victor Moses, Chelsea

Salary: $7,200

Moses is another strong option and the perfect compliment to Hazard in the midfield. Moses is available for just over $2K less than Hazard so he fits in nicely as the second midfield option for Saturday’s DraftKings competitions.

F: Diego Costa, Chelsea

Salary: $10,100

It only makes sense to continue to roll with Chelsea attacking players, especially considering Costa is clearly the best option on the board at the forward position. Costa will cost just over $10K in DraftKings competitions but he is definitely worth the investment this weekend. Chelsea enters the week in first place with 60 points. For EPL fantasy purposes, the 52 goals scored by their offense is the third-most in the EPL.

F: Christian Benteke, Crystal Palace

Salary: $6,800

There is no clear second option for a second forward option on Saturday, but Benteke should be the best available option behind Costa. Crystal Palace should have plenty of scoring opportunities versus Middlesbrough and Benteke will be leading their attack. Crystal Palace has been a team to avoid in EPL fantasy for the most part but we’ll try them out this week. They have scored just 32 goals on the year while giving up 46. They are ranked among the worst in the league in both categories.

FLEX: Bernardo, Middlesbrough

Salary: $3,000

Middlesbrough won’t have an easy time containing Crystal Palace but Bernardo is coming off a quality fantasy performance and will be counted on for another strong performance this week. At just $3K, Bernardo represents a cost-effective option to round out our optimal DraftKings lineup.

Middlesbrough enters the week in 16th place with 22 points. The good news for them is that they are not in the relegation zone. The bad news for them is that they are only two points ahead of Hull City, who is 18th place, and three points up on Crystal Palace and Sunderland, who are in the final two spots of the Premier League table. In terms of EPL fantasy, Middesbrough has scored just 19 goals on the year, which is the fewest in the EPL by far. They are the only team in the league with less than 22 goals. Hopefully their offense – and Bernardo – show up for this week.
