EPL Power Rankings For Round 11

EPL

The EPL resumes this weekend with Manchester City pulling away from the field. As we start the week, they have registered 28 points through 10 games. Their bread and butter has been an incredible offense that has scored 35 goals in just 10 games. It two-team race as November rolls gets underway as Manchester United is the only other team within arm’s reach of City with 20 points. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool might be fighting for the top four, while Tottenham looks to keep up with Manchester United for second place, but Manchester City looks like they’re far and away the class of the league. We’ll see if anything changes as the colder months approach. Here is a look at the latest EPL power rankings based on the futures:

1. Manchester City

Last Week: 1

EPL Title Odds: -500

Manchester City continues to be the only unbeaten team in the league as they got goals from Leroy Sane, Fernandinho and Raheem Sterling (who is tied with teammate Sergio Aguero and Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku with eight league goals) in a 3-2 win at West Brom. It has been a busy week for City, who also eliminated Wolverhampton from the EFL Cup on penalty kicks, and they still have to head to Napoli on Wednesday in the Champions League. In the Premier League, Manchester City will host Arsenal on Sunday as they look to continue an electrifying run of form.

2. Manchester United

Last Week: 3

EPL Title Odds: +800

Manchester United moved back to second in the table with a 1-0 win at home over Tottenham as Anthony Martial came on to score with nine minutes remaining in regulation. That followed a 2-0 win for United in the EFL Cup at Swansea as Jesse Lingard scored twice, and they also defeated Benfica 2-0 at home in the Champions League thanks to an own goal and a penalty from Daley Blind. Manchester United has a nice little roll going now as they get ready to head to Chelsea on Sunday, and they’ll be hoping for a slice of fortune from Arsenal.

3. Tottenham

Last Week: 2

EPL Title Odds: +1400

Tottenham, who were missing Harry Kane (who has scored a Premier League-leading eight goals), slipped to third with their loss at Manchester United, and they also lost 3-2 at home to West Ham in the EFL despite goals from Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli. It definitely doesn’t get any easier for Tottenham coming as they host Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, and then they stay home on Sunday to host Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

4. Chelsea

Last Week: 4

EPL Title Odds: +2000

Chelsea is fourth in the table as they got a goal from Eden Hazard in the second half of a 1-0 win at Bournemouth, and that followed a 2-1 win at home over Everton in the EFL as Antonio Rudiger and Willian. However, it was ugly for Chelsea on Tuesday in the Champions League as they were routed 3-0 at Roma and now, they have to pick themselves up quickly as they host Manchester United on Sunday.

5. Arsenal

Last Week: 5

EPL Title Odds: +5000

Arsenal is fifth in the table after a 2-1 win at home over Swansea as Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey found the back of the net. Teenage forward Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to score a pair to carry Arsenal to a 2-1 win in extra time over Norwich City in the EFL Cup, and then they host Red Star Belgrade on Thursday in the Europa League. However, the big match comes on Sunday as Arsenal heads out on the road to visit leaders Manchester City.

6. Liverpool

Last Week: 6

EPL Title Odds: +10000

Liverpool sits sixth in the table as they won 3-0 at home over Huddersfield Town, and all of their scoring came in the second half as Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum gave Liverpool the three points. Liverpool have been eliminated from the EFL Cup, but that might be a blessing as it lightens their match load. They’ll host NK Maribor in the Champions League on Wednesday, and then head on the road on Saturday to visit West Ham.

7. Burnley

Last Week: 9

EPL Title Odds: +10000

Burnley is a stunning seventh in the table as Jeff Hendrick’s goal with 16 minutes remaining in regulation gave them a 1-0 win at Newcastle. These are the games in which Burnley need to pick up all the points they can to make sure they’re not in a relegation battle this season, although their nine goals scored ties them with Southampton for the fewest among the top-half teams. They’ll travel to Southampton on Saturday for another big match.

8. Watford

Last Week: 7

EPL Title Odds: +10000

Watford is eighth after falling 1-0 at home to Stoke City, and strangely Watford haven’t been able to take care of business at home. They have a win, two losses and two draws in five home games, scoring just five goals and allowing 11. Away from home, they have three wins, a draw and a loss with 10 goals scored and seven goals allowed. This is something they’ll have to work on if they want to stay in the top half of the table, but maybe it is a good thing that they’re on the road on Sunday as Watford will visit Everton.

9. Newcastle

Last Week: 8

EPL Title Odds: +10000

Newcastle is ninth after their tough loss at Burnley, and once again they struggled to score away from home, where they have just three goals in five games. That has resulted in a win, a draw and three losses, and Newcastle has to sort that out. However, they’re at home on Saturday as Newcastle will host Bournemouth.

10. Southampton

Last Week: 10

EPL Title Odds: +10000

Once again, Southampton rounds out the top half of the table as they drew 1-1 at Brighton and hove Albion. Steven Davis scored in the seventh minute to give Southampton the lead, but they allowed a goal in the second half to get just a point. Still, it has been a very good start to the season for Southampton, and they’ll host Burnley on Saturday in a match of two teams looking to stay in the top half.
