F1 Picks – Hungarian Grand Prix Sunday!

F1 picks:  Though Lewis Hamilton is from Great Britain, he may have to claim dual citizenship with Hungary as he has taken the checkered flag for victories in the last two Hungarian Grand Prix races and has won that event a total of four times.  Fellow Great Britain citizen Jenson Button has won a total of two Hungarian Grand Prix races.  Hamilton is in a hot race trailing only Nico Rosberg in the Formula One standings and has five wins on the season.  The Hungarian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, July 27 with coverage on CNBC starting at 7:30 PM ET.  Qualifying can be seen on CNBC on Saturday, July 26 at 8 AM ET.

Hungaroring

Located at Mogyorod, Hungary, The Hungaroring race course is 4.381 km (2.722 miles) in length with a total of 16 career turns.  It was opened in 1986 and has a seating capacity of 70,000.

Standings Leaders

Rosberg is coming off a big win in his homeland last week in the German Grand Prix and leads the standings with 190 points.  He has finished first or second in every race except for a retirement in the British Grand Prix.  Hamilton has 179 points followed by Daniel Ricciardo, Fernando Alonso, Valtteri Bottas and four time defending champion Sebastian Vettel.

Lewis Hamilton has a total of seven career starts at the Hungarian Grand Prix with four wins, six top five finishes and six top 10 finishes with an average finish of 4.7.

Kimi Raikkonen has a total of 11 career starts at the Hungarian Grand Prix with one win, eight top five finishes and nine top ten finishes with an average finish of 5.5.

Fernando Alonso has a total of 12 career starts in the Hungarian Grand Prix with one win, eight top five finishes and eight top ten finishes with an average finish of 7.3.

Jenson Button has a total of 14 career starts at the Hungarian Grand Prix with two wins, four top five finishes and ten top ten finishes.

Rosberg has not been dominant at Hungaroring as he has eight career starts with one top five finish and four top ten finishes and an average finish of 12.8.
