If Josh Rosen wants to be the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, he’ll have to beat out Ryan Fitzpatrick to do it. Dolphins head coach Brian Flores has opened up the competition between the two signal-callers after Miami spent a second round pick to acquire the former UCLA standout from his former team, the Arizona Cardinals, who spent their No. 1 pick on Kyler Murray.

Gruden, “Haskins displayed a bit of everything”

Jay Gruden is already excited about his first-round pick out of Ohio State. Saturday, the Washington Redskins head coach praised Dwayne Haskins’ early performance in camp. The Redskins have a full quarterback room with recently acquired Case Keenum and Colt McCoy, along with a possibly rehabbing Alex Smith.

Cardinals are still the Cardinals, mess up Murray’s feet

The Specter of Bill Bidwell, one of the most notoriously cheap owners in league history, still haunts the Arizona Cardinals even though he’s ceded control over the team to his sons, Michael and Bill Jr. The team did not supply No. 1 overall quarterback Kyler Murray with the correct cleats for his first practices and he paid the price, limping to the interview podium later in the day with sore feet.
