The Florida Panthers, spearheaded by Evgenii Dadonov and Keith Yandle, are ready to take the ice against Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, the Winnipeg Jets at Hartwall Arena in an East-West tilt. The Sports Network will showcase the matchup, and the action gets going at 2 p.m. ET on Friday, November 2.

Florida Panthers vs. Winnipeg Jets Odds

Florida (+120) is playing the role of underdog to Winnipeg (-140) and the Over/Under (O/U) has been set at an even 6 goals (-115 for the over, -105 for the under).

Earning moneyline bettors 0.5 units, Winnipeg is 8-5 straight up (SU) overall thus far. That win percentage, the NHL’s third-best so far in this young season, is a slide from what the team recorded during the 2017-18 season (52-30). Through 13 regular season contests, seven of its games have gone under the total, while three have gone over and two have pushed. So far this year, the team’s 5-2 SU at home.

The Jets enter the matchup with the second-best power-play unit in the NHL, as they’ve found the net on 31.7 percent of their extra-man chances this season. On the other hand, their penalty kill is ranked 12th overall, and they’ve successfully killed off 82.6 percent of all penalties.

Sporting a .912 save percentage and 29.9 saves per game, Connor Hellebuyck (5-5-1) has been the most dependable goalkeeper for the Jets this season. Hellebuyck did just play last night, however, so head coach Paul Maurice could choose to give him a rest and instead roll with Laurent Brossoit (3-0 record, .957 save percentage, 1.67 goals against average).

Florida has lost 7.7 units for bettors taking the moneyline thus far and is currently 2-8 straight up (SU). Through 10 regular season matches, five of its games have gone over the total, while four have gone under the total and none have pushed. As the visiting team, the Panthers are 2-4 SU so far.

The Panthers have converted on 15.6 percent of their power play chances this year, a mark that’s right around league average. On the other hand, its penalty kill unit is ranked 28th overall and it’s successfully killed off 70.3 percent of all opponent power plays.

James Reimer (.885 save percentage and 3.36 goals against average) has been the primary option in goal for Florida. Reimer is averaging 20.3 saves per game and has two wins, six losses, and one OT loss to his credit.
