Former Lakers and Spurs player joins Trail Blazers

Just 43 days remain until the start of the 2022–23 NBA season, so all of the clubs in the league are still selecting their rosters for training camp, which starts later this month. For the first time since 2013, the Portland Trail Blazers missed the NBA Playoffs last year, as All-Star guard Damian Lillard missed 53 games as a result of an injury.

Devontae Cacok will sign an Exhibit 10 deal with the Trail Blazers, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium on Monday. In his three NBA seasons, Cacok, who is 25 years old, has played for both the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers. He participated in 15 games with the Spurs last year, averaging 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 8.1 minutes per game. He hasn’t been on the floor a lot throughout his tenure in the NBA, having only participated in 36 games. Now he has an opportunity to show the Blazers what he can do.
