Thad Levine, who previously served as general manager for the Minnesota Twins, has joined the Milwaukee Brewers as a special adviser, the club announced. This move brings a seasoned front office executive with over two decades of experience in Major League Baseball to Milwaukee’s baseball operations team.

Levine’s tenure with the Twins began in 2016 when he was hired as the team’s senior vice president and general manager. During his time in Minnesota, Levine helped oversee multiple playoff appearances and contributed to the team’s strategic planning and player development efforts. Prior to his time with the Twins, Levine spent more than a decade in the Texas Rangers organization, where he served as assistant general manager. While with Texas, the team reached the World Series in 2010 and 2011.

Now joining the Brewers, Levine will serve in an advisory capacity, contributing insights to both the baseball operations department and front office leadership. His experience in roster building, player evaluation, and long-term organizational strategy will be valuable assets to Milwaukee as the team looks to remain competitive in the National League Central.

The Brewers have not disclosed specific details regarding Levine’s duties, but special adviser roles often involve collaborating with general managers and player development staff, evaluating scouting strategies, and supporting draft and trade decision-making processes. Levine’s hiring follows recent changes across several front offices in MLB as teams continue to adjust their management structures.

A graduate of Haverford College and native of Virginia, Levine is widely respected within league circles for his analytical approach and leadership. His addition to the Brewers’ staff signals the franchise’s commitment to leveraging deep experience as it builds for the future.

The Brewers finished the most recent MLB season with a playoff appearance and are expected to make further offseason moves ahead of spring training. Levine’s presence could influence those decisions in the weeks and months ahead.
