Golden State Warriors at Chicago Bulls Betting Preview 10/29/18

The Chicago Bulls (2-4) will try to slow down the league’s top scoring team when they clash against the Golden State Warriors (6-1) at United Center. The game can be seen on WGN Channel 9 at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, October 29, 2018.

The game’s Over/Under (O/U) has been set at 231 points with Golden State opening as an 11-point favorite.

Although the Warriors beat the Brooklyn Nets in their last outing, 120-114, they failed to cover as 11.5-point favorites. The game’s total points (234) came in over the O/U total of 225. The Warriors held the Nets to an offensive rebounding percentage of 12.5 (below their season average of 24.5). The Nets had a free throw rate of 0.115 (below their season average of 0.168). Kevin Durant had a good game for Golden State, finishing with 34 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

The last time the Bulls played, they beat the Atlanta Hawks, 97-85, despite being 5.5-point underdogs. The game’s total points (182) finished well under the projected point total of 232.5. Chicago’s effective field goal percentage was their largest advantage over Atlanta. The Bulls had a rate of 0.506 (below their season average of 0.538), while the Hawks posted a mark of 0.393 (below their season average of 0.546). Zach LaVine was the top scorer from either team with 27 points on 9-for-19 shooting.

Chicago might struggle to find the bottom of the net as they clash against one of the NBA’s best defenses. Since last season, Golden State ranks fifth in defensive efficiency while the Bulls rank 29th in offensive efficiency.

Golden State holds records of 6-1 straight up (SU) and 3-3 against the spread (ATS). Vegas is extremely accurate when setting the total of Warriors games, with an even split between overs and unders.
