Golf Undigested

The Golf Undigested Podcast with Clark Burroughs, a former PGA Tour player and proud Ohio State Buckeye, dishes out his latest news and musings in the world of golf. For all the latest golf odds and predictions, never miss an episode of Burroughs’ insightful advice and hilarious observations into the greatest game of all, GOLF!

Burroughs starts Podcast #45 by taking us through last week’s action in the world of golf.

Dustin Johnson proves why he is the No. 1 ranked player on the planet by making it two wins in-a-row at the WGC – Mexico Championship. It was Johnson’s 14th win on the PGA Tour and fifth WGC title.

Last week on the European Tour, Dean Burmester over-powered the field and won his first European Tour title at the Tshwane Open in South Africa.

The LPGA Tour was in Singapore for the HSBC Champions. Inbee Park set a course record during the final round to complete the comeback victory. It was only Park’s second event since last year’s Olympics.

Burroughs makes his picks for the week as well as helping you set your fantasy team. Our host had his first losing week with a 3-3-0 record and stands 29-14-5 on the year. Burroughs dishes on this week’s action on all the tours across the world.

The PGA Tour heads back to Florida for the Valspar Championship where Charl Schwartzel is the defending champion.

The European Tour heads to India for the third consecutive year for the Hero Indian Open. LPGA Tour and Champions Tour are off this week.

Burroughs Predictions for the Valspar Championship – Innisbrook Resort

This week’s venue is perfect for a veteran player to creep in the mix and come away with the trophy.

Luke Donald at +5000 almost quit the game entirely a year ago. He has now has regained his form, and more importantly, his attitude to perform at a high level. His wedge game is one of the best in the world and he’s regained his deft putting stroke that saw him rise to the No. 1 player in the world. He won here in 2012 and will be in the mix on Sunday afternoon at Innisbrook.

Veteran Steve Stricker +8000 has been busy getting ready to captain the U.S. Team in the upcoming President’s Cup, but he thrives on tough tracks and with a putting stroke like his, he doesn’t need many starts to be at the top of his game. Stricker will surprise this week and is worth a look in all formats.

STAY AWAY

Bubba Watson +3300 continues to struggle with his game and doesn’t seem to care about it much. He’s making his first visit to the Copperhead course since 2011 and the venue does not fit his game. Watson needs to show me some form and until he does, I’m fading him!

TV Coverage: Valspar Championship – Thursday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. ET – Golf Channel. Saturday-Sunday, 1-3 p.m. Golf Channel, 3-6 p.m. – NBC.

Our host wraps up Podcast #45 by giving the listeners advice on course management and how to get rid of those negative thoughts and turning them into positive ones.
