Golf Undigested Podcast – Episode 47

Golf Undigested

The Golf Undigested Podcast with Clark Burroughs, a former PGA Tour player and proud Ohio State Buckeye, dishes out his latest news and musings in the world of golf. For all the latest golf odds and predictions, never miss an episode of Burroughs’ insightful advice and hilarious observations into the greatest game of all, GOLF!

Burroughs starts Podcast #47 by taking us through last week’s action in the world of golf.

Australian Marc Leishman eagled the par-5, 16th to vault to 11-under par, saved par on his final two holes to come from behind and nip Charley Hoffman and Kevin Kisner by a stroke to win the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Last week on the Champions Tour, Tom Lehman spoiled Steve Stricker’s debut as he erased a three stroke deficit to win the Tucson Conquistadores Classic. On the LPGA Tour, Anna Nordqvist fired a second round course record 61 and never looked back to pick up her seventh win on the Tour.

Burroughs makes his picks for the week as well as helping you set your fantasy team. Our host went 2-4-1 record and stands 35-20-6 on the year. Burroughs dishes on this week’s action on all the tours across the world.

The PGA Tour has two tournaments this week. The elite players head to Texas for the WGC – Dell Technologies Match Play where Jason Day defends. The secondary tournament is in Puerto Rico where Graeme McDowell is the betting favorite.

Both the Champions Tour and the European Tour are OFF until after the Masters.

The LPGA Tour stays out west in Carlsbad, California for the Kia Classic as the women get their games ready for next week’s first major of the year, the ANA Inspiration in Palm Springs, California.

CHALK

Rory McIlroy +650 is playing great golf, but has yet to win a tournament so far this year. Since coming back from his injury he’s finished T7 and T4 in his only two starts. He’s close, real close to winning and winning multiple times. McIlroy thrives in match play and has been to three semi-finals in the last five years, winning in 2015 and losing last year to eventual champion Jason Day. He is the man to beat this week!

FADES

After his strong play at the Ryder Cup, Brooks Koepka +3500 appeared to be well on his way to being an elite player. Then Nike decided to quit making golf equipment forcing the former Florida State star to switch companies and now he can’t find his ball. Missed cuts and high numbers have everyone wondering what’s going on with his game. Until I see a few low scores, FADE Koepka.
