Golf Undigested Podcast – Episode 58

Golf Undigested

The Golf Undigested Podcast with Clark Burroughs, a former PGA Tour player and proud Ohio State Buckeye, dishes out his latest news and musings in the world of golf. For all the latest golf odds and predictions, never miss an episode of Burroughs’ insightful advice and hilarious observations into the greatest game of all, GOLF!

Burroughs starts Podcast #58 by taking us through last week’s thrilling U.S. Open where Brooks Koepka broke through to win his first major championship. The long-hitting Floridian over powered the course and the field to win by four strokes and tie the all-time U.S. Open 72-hole scoring record.

Burroughs makes his picks for the week as well as helping you set your fantasy team. Our host record stands at 70-48-9 for the year. Burroughs dishes on this week’s action on all the tours across the world.

This week all tour’s are in action. The PGA Tour heads east to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship. The LPGA Tour heads to Arkansas for the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. The PGA Champions Tour is in the Badger state for the American Family Insurance Championship and the European Tour springs back into action in Germany at the BMW International. Should be an exciting week in golf!

PICKS to WIN

DANIEL BERGER +3250 missed the cut at last week’s U.S. Open which is understandable due to the fact he won the week before in Memphis. Most players have a difficult time playing well the week after they win. Now he comes to a place where he held the 54-hole lead last year. With the weekend off and the win behind him, look for him to be in the mix this week. Berger at +3250 is a bargain!

CHEZ REAVIE +9000 isn’t a household name but has played some impressive golf the last two weeks. He tied for fourth in Memphis before finishing T16 at last week’s U.S. Open. He fired a second round 65 last week which tells me he’s hitting the ball well and making a lot of putts. Don’t be surprised if you see his name on the leaderboard this week in Connecticut.

PATRICK REED +2000 is on the verge of breaking through. He’s struggled most of the year, but recently turned the corner and is ready to take it deep. He finished T11 here last year, finished T13 at last week’s U.S. Open and needs some high finishes to make the President’s Cup squad later this year. When the chips are down, Reed thrives!

TV Coverage for the Travelers Championship: Thursday-Friday, 3:30-6:30 p.m. ET – Golf Channel. Saturday-Sunday, 1-2:30 p.m. – Golf Channel, 3-6 p.m. – CBS.

Burroughs wraps up #58 by giving a quick tip on your feet positioning in your setup that will help you make a better turn and make it easier to clear your hips on your follow through.
