The Houston Astros are making a road trip to Camden Yards to face off against the Baltimore Orioles. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET and Mid-Atlantic Sports Network will broadcast this AL showdown.

Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles Odds

The Astros are 100-58 SU and are 82-76 against the spread (ATS). The team hasn’t moved the needle very much this year, losing 3.4 units for bettors taking the moneyline and 1.8 units ATS. The Orioles, on the other hand, are 46-112 SU and 65-93 ATS. The team’s lost 52.6 units for bettors taking the moneyline and 40.8 units ATS.

Orioles games have an over/under record of 72-81-5 in 2018. Houston has also been a decent under bet with a total record of 70-80-8.

Right-hander Justin Verlander is projected to start for the visiting Astros. Verlander is 16-9 with a 2.60 ERA and 280 strikeouts. He’s 0-0 with nine strikeouts and a 4.76 ERA against Baltimore this year.

The Orioles are turning to Yefry Ramirez (1-7, 6.07 ERA), who has 58 strikeouts and 33 walks to his name as well as a WHIP of 1.55. Ramirez has yet to face the Astros this year and did not record any MLB pitching stats in 2017.

Baltimore’s pitchers have allowed 5.6 runs per game overall this season as a unit. Its starters have an ERA of 5.56, a WHIP of 1.51 and a strikeouts-per-nine of 7.2. The bullpen has a 4.82 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 8.1 K/9.

Baltimore’s offense has produced 3.9 runs per outing, including 4.5 per game over its last 10 games and 4.6 per game over its last five. The team’s hit .269/.338/.445 over its last five games and is 2-3 SU during that stretch.

Outfielders Adam Jones and Trey Mancini have led the Orioles’ hitters this year. Jones is slashing .281/.313/.419 with 15 home runs, 62 RBIs and 54 runs scored, while Mancini’s line is .244/.302/.422 with 24 homers, 57 RBIs and 68 runs.

In the other dugout, Houston’s pitching staff allowed 3.3 runs per game and its starters own a 3.20 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 10.38 K/9. The bullpen has logged a solid ERA of just 3.00, along with a K/9 of 10.65.

Astros hitters have slashed .256/.333/.427 on their way to 5.0 runs scored per game in 2018, including 5.0 runs per game over the team’s last 10 games and 5.2 per game over the team’s last five contests (4-1 SU).

Third baseman Alex Bregman and second baseman Jose Altuve continue to lead Houston’s offense. Bregman is slashing .289/.395/.538 with 31 home runs, 103 RBIs and 104 runs scored, while Altuve is hitting .314/.385/.451 with 13 homers, 61 RBIs, 84 runs and 17 steals.

The Orioles have lost 49.5 units and are 40-65 ATS when facing a right-handed starting pitcher. The over has hit in 47 of those games, as opposed to 54 that’ve gone under against righties.
