Indiana Pacers vs. Golden State Warriors Free Prediction

In the Pacers’ last outing, they beat the Miami Heat, 113-107. The Pacers held the Heat to an offensive rebounding percentage of 14.6 (below their season average of 21.6). The Heat had a free throw rate of 0.128 (below their season average of 0.174). Indiana received a boost from Thaddeus Young, who had 22 points, nine rebounds and five steals.

The Warriors lost big to the Utah Jazz in their last outing, 110-91. Utah’s 0.161 free throw rate was their largest strength over Golden State, who had a rate of 0.099. The Jazz’s mark was below their season average of 0.204, while the Warriors’ was below their season average of 0.200. With 17 points on 7-for-15 shooting, Quinn Cook led Golden State in scoring.

This has potential to be a mistake-prone game for the offense of Golden State. Golden State ranks 28th in the league in ball protection (turnover percentage of 14.9 percent), while the pesky defense of Indiana forces the second-most turnovers in the league (15.0 percent).

Indiana holds records of 43-31 straight up (SU) and 42-32 against the spread (ATS). Vegas has a tendency to set the total high when the Pacers are involved, as 44 of their 74 games have gone under the projected point total.

Golden State has a superb 54-19 SU record, but they are just 30-40-3 ATS. Just over half of Warriors games have also finished under the O/U total.

Cook has averaged 19.8 points, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals over the last five games for Golden State.

After the Warriors won both games against the Pacers last season, these teams will go head-to-head for the first time this year. In the most recent matchup, Golden State won 142-106. The Warriors had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (34.0 vs. 19.1) and had a better turnover percentage (8.7 vs. 12.2).
