Jackson State Tigers – Alabama State Hornets Preview – 03.03.2016

The Alabama State Hornets (12-16) will wrap up the regular season when they take on the Jackson State Tigers (17-12) at Dunn-Oliver Acadome. Action begins at 6:00 pm ET on Thursday, Mar. 3.

The Tigers, meanwhile, are coming off a 67-56 win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday. Kaven Bernard claimed his second double-double of the season with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Raeford Worsham has upped his play for the Tigers, averaging 15.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.4 blocks over the past five games.

The top-notch Jackson State defense appears to have an advantage when it comes to eFG%. It ranks 18th in the nation in making teams miss (opponents’ eFG% of 45.1%), whereas the cold-shooting offense of Alabama State is 303rd with a mark of 46.9%.
