Training camp for the Jacksonville Jaguars is underway in Jacksonville, Florida, and team reporter Michael DiRocco is providing daily updates from the site, according to the Jaguars’ camp report. The file will be updated often through the first full week of preseason, which begins Aug. 13, the report said.

Running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. returned to the field for the first time since suffering a foot injury during the offseason conditioning program. DiRocco reported Rodriguez has been fully cleared medically but remained on a cautious plan: he did individual drills but did not participate in team drills. After practice, Rodriguez said, “Feels good. I’m on a schedule right now for everything, so the plan is to be back Week 1. So I’m going to take it step by step from here on.”

Coach Liam Coen said Rodriguez was brought in to strengthen the Jaguars’ rushing attack and noted that “the best of C‑Rod will not be seen until the pads come on and we play tackle,” according to the camp coverage.

Defensive back/wide receiver Travis Hunter took 12 snaps in 11‑on‑11 work on Wednesday, with eight snaps on defense and four on offense; he was targeted once on offense, DiRocco reported. Safety Eric Murray intercepted quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s deep sideline pass intended for receiver Brian Thomas Jr., and Murray reacted by thumping his chest as he returned to the huddle.

Rookie wide receiver CJ Williams recorded the day’s most notable catch, hauling in a Nick Mullens pass while sliding to the ground with linebacker Ventrell Miller in coverage. Williams, a sixth‑round pick, is competing for the team’s fifth receiver spot, the report said.

Linebacker Jack Kiser was injured during 11‑on‑11 work, grabbing his right knee after going to the ground. Coen said Kiser would undergo an MRI Wednesday night, DiRocco reported.
