Jay Gruden knows just the guy for “Hard Knocks”

Namely, his brother. Jon Gruden’s Raiders are now far and away the fan favorite to appear on “Hard Knocks” this summer and Jay Gruden apparently agrees. The Redskins are one of five teams who could be forced to host the popular HBO show this season, but Jay thinks it’s at least a year too early for them.

The #Redskins are eligible for Hard Knocks but Jay Gruden thinks HBO would be crazy not to choose his brother.

Gruden: They can do us next year

Reporter: Not if you make the playoffs

A tragedy in the Foles family

Now we know why Nick Foles was excused from Jacksonville’s OTAs. His wife explains.

Despite the terrible circumstances, Foles is already back to work.

Nick Foles is back with the #Jaguars today to resume OTA work with his teammates. Foles has been away for a few days to be with his wife, Tori, and family following her miscarriage.

The Seahawks host Rainn Wilson

Best known as Dwight on “The Office,” Wilson held a field goal at OTAs.

The Seahawks take McDowell to court

Malik McDowell, whom the Seahawks selected with the 35th pick in the 2017 draft, has yet to play a down in the NFL after an ATV accident before his first training camp. The team released him in March and will try to recoup some of their financial losses.

A new era of 49ers

San Francisco tried to hype up their fans with photos of some of their newest players. Jimmy Garoppolo and Richard Sherman enter their second seasons with the Niners while Kwon Alexander and Tevin Coleman are new in town.

Terrelle Pryor to Jacksonville

The Jaguars are Pryor’s fourth team since his 1,000-yard 2016 with the Browns. He appeared in 17 games in 2017 and 2018 with the Redskins, Jets and Bills. He totaled 492 yards (28.9 yards per game).

Ian Rapoport explained the connection that may have contributed to the deal.

The #Jaguars are expected to sign veteran WR Terrelle Pryor, source said. He worked out yesterday & the team quickly offered. The deal should be done today, with Pryor getting another chance to make his mark. He spent time with Jax OC John DeFilippo when both were in Cleveland.
