The Cleveland Browns added wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston with their first two picks in the 2026 draft, but general manager Andrew Berry said those selections “zero impact on Jerry. He’s our bell cow,” after Day 2 of the draft, according to Berry.
After a disappointing 2025 campaign that followed a breakout 2024, veteran wideout Jerry Jeudy said his priority is consistency and reducing drops as he prepares for the new season. “I’m very confident,” Jeudy said after the Browns’ fifth OTA practice Wednesday. “I’m going to always be confident by the amount of work I just put in throughout the offseason. I’m just waiting for it to transition to on the field.”
Jeudy’s 2024 season included career highs of 90 receptions and 1,229 yards while Cleveland started four different passers; he was named to his first Pro Bowl. His 90 catches set a Browns single-season franchise record previously held by tight ends Ozzie Newsome and Kellen Winslow Jr., the team noted.
He was less productive in 2025 amid another unsettled quarterback situation. The Browns started three different quarterbacks last season, including rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, and Jeudy dropped six passes, tied for the sixth most in the NFL. He also recorded career lows for receiving yards per game (35.4) and yards per catch (12). Jeudy said part of his offseason work included concentration drills — “just like ball drills, small ball drills, bouncing off the wall, little stuff like that,” he said.
Jeudy has caught passes from 13 different quarterbacks during six NFL seasons and enters 2026 under his sixth head coach and offensive coordinator. He has worked with both Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson at times this offseason and caught a pair of touchdowns in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11s, Jeudy said. Berry reiterated his confidence at the NFL combine in February, saying the team expects Jeudy to bounce back if the offense becomes more operational. Browns offensive coordinator Travis Switzer praised Jeudy’s “quick twitch” and ability to separate while noting there are many variables that affect a skill player’s production and that the staff was not in place last year.
