It doesn’t look like Adam Gase will get to remove the “interim” tag on his general manager designation for the New York Jets. Saturday, it was reported that the Jets had requested to interview Champ Kelly, assistant director of player personnel for the Chicago Bears and Joe Douglas, vice president of player personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles for the vacant GM job. New York fired Mike Maccagnan, their former general manager, on May 15.
The #Jets requests for GM interviews have gone out, sources say. Among them: #Eagles VP Player Personnel Joe Douglas and #Bears Assistant Director of Player Personnel Champ Kelly. Two very respected evaluators.

Gerald McCoy visiting Baltimore Ravens
Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy will continue his free agency tour around the league with a stop in Baltimore to check out the Ravens. The meeting is planned for Tuesday. McCoy previously met with the Cleveland Browns, but left without a contract. The former Pro Bowl defensive lineman reportedly wants to sign on with a contender.
No deal with the Browns and Gerald McCoy, but they're staying in touch.
In McCoy's best financial interest to play the market, where he has options.

McNabb making his case for Hall of Fame
Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb is talking to anyone who will listen about his potential inclusion into the NFL Hall of Fame. McNabb feels he deserves a bust and has compared himself favorably to Troy Aikman in the process.
Donovan McNabb: "I'm absolutely a Hall of Fame player".
"My numbers are better than Troy Aikman."
McNabb had 37,276 yards, 234 passing TDs and 117 career interceptions. #Cowboys QB Troy Aikman had 32,942 yards, 165 passing TDs and 141 career interceptions.
Do you agree?
