Jimmy Butler made a surprise appearance Friday at Bottlefest in Napa, California, singing and engaging the crowd. The 36-year-old Golden State Warriors guard drew cheers after performing Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles.”
After finishing the Carlton song, Butler told the audience, “But I’m in my bag right now. I’ve been wanting to sing this since high school and nobody ever wants to sing,” before queuing up Jesse McCartney’s “Beautiful Soul.”
Butler also performed Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” and asked the audience, “Don’t show this to Steve [Kerr]; I got a torn ACL,” as he hopped around on stage. A DJ at the event joked that Butler would be “headlining the main stage next year” as he left the stage.
Butler tore his ACL on Jan. 12 during the Warriors’ win over the Miami Heat and underwent surgery in February. Prior to the injury, he averaged 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists in the 2025-26 season.
The appearance came during the offseason as Butler prepares for the next season and media day. He performed multiple songs and drew an enthusiastic response from the Bottlefest crowd.
