La Liga Fantasy: Spanish Primera Week 20 Lineup

The La Liga season continues this weekend with a full slate of games and DraftKings has narrowed down the list for Saturday with three games to focus on in its fantasy competitions. The absence of Barcelona and Real Madrid among them makes it a little more difficult to build a winning lineup for this weekend but we did our research and came up with what we feel is the best combination of players. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s DraftKings La Liga fantasy leagues.

GK: Miguel Angel Moya, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $5,600

With Jan Oblak sidelined, Moya is the man in goal for Atletico Madrid and the best option on the board at his position for this weekend. Moya should be able to hold his own behind a talented defense core versus Alaves and could be in line for a clean sheet win. Atletico Madrid enters the week in fourth place in the Spanish Primera. They have been a useful team to look at in terms of defense for La Liga fantasy purposes. They have allowed just 16 goals in 19 games this season.

D: Filipe Luis, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $5,800

Luis has been the best fantasy defender on Atletico Madrid and he is also the top fantasy defender on the board so it makes sense to spend a little more in an effort to lock him in for this weekend’s competitions. Atletico Madrid has been solid at the back end this season – particularly of late. They haven’t allowed a goal in either of their last two contest and have shut out their opponents in four of their last five games.

D: Diego Godin, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $4,100

Godin isn’t as dominant as Luis but he has certainly held his own as a top-10 fantasy scorer for Atletico Madrid this season. The potential for a clean sheet bonus should provide a greater boost to Godin’s stock.

M: Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $8,900

Griezmann’s dual-eligibility at the forward and midfield positions makes him that much more attractive of a pick as we can slide him in to this spot and leave two forward positions open for decent value picks. Griezmann is one of the top attacking players in La Liga so it makes sense to use him in this spot as another top option from Atletico Madrid.

M: Pione Sisto, Celta Vigo

Salary: $6,600

Celta Vigo should be able to figure out a way to score some goals for Leganes this weekend and we fully expect Sisto to be right in the middle of their attack. Sisto has been a top-five fantasy producer for Celta Vigo this season so at under $7K he is a strong value option for Saturday’s competitions. Celta Vigo enters the week in eighth place in the Spanish Primera standings with 27 points in 19 games. They’re one point ahead of Espanyol and Eibar.

F: Iago Aspas, Celta Vigo

Salary: $8,800

Nobody on Celta Vigo’s roster has performed better in terms of La Liga fantasy score this season than Aspas and it isn’t even close. The talented striker is one of the most expensive options on the board but his consistency makes him worth investing a little more money in as our top forward option.

F: Sergi Enrich, Eibar

Salary: $5,900

Eibar is the other club that should be in a favorable position to lock up three points when they face Deportivo this weekend and that means a strong outing from Enrich should be expected. Enrich currently ranks second on Eibar in La Liga fantasy score behind only Pedro Leon so we are banking for another strong performance this weekend. Eibar enters the week in 10th place in the Spanish Primera standings with 26 points.

FLEX: Stefan Savic, Atletico Madrid

Salary: $3,600

With just over $4K left to spend on our final FLEX position it only makes sense to turn back to Atletico Madrid for another defender with high potential in Savic. Atletico Madrid could be in line for a clean sheet victory and that bonus should help boost Savic’s stock as one of their three best La Liga fantasy defenders this season.
