We’re finally back to boxing with ShoBox: The New Generation keeping us up late with a main event featuring Joel Diaz Jr. (23-0, 19 KOs) against Regis Prograins (19-0, 16 KOs) for one of those NABF belts that nobody cares about tonight at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y.

In the undercard, we’ll see Steve Rolls (15-0, 9 KOs) take on Demond Nicholson (17-1-1, 16 KOs). We might end up with a third fight. If so, I’ll get you the details when the men hit the ring.

Top junior welterweight Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (19-0 16 KOs) will get the biggest fight of his career on June 9th in Verona, New York at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort as he takes on heralded prospect Joel Diaz Jr. (23-0 19 KOs) in what could be the fight of the year on paper. Regis Prograis is anxious to show the world what he can accomplish.
The fight which is the television main event of Showtime. This fight will be part of the acclaimed “ShoBox: The New Generation” series. This will seemingly put the winner of this fight in the conversation for a world title.
Prograis appeared on “ShoBox: The New Generation” three times. His last two outings consisting of a first round stoppage of Alan Herrera (32-6-1 21 KOs). He had an eighth round stoppage of Abel Ramos (17-2-2 12 KOs). Since his last outing against Herrera, Prograis has fought on the undercard of Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter as well as fighting at the Hard Rock Casino in Mississippi.
Currently, Prograis is excited to have a game opponent who is willing to push him.

Prograis, who is fighting the weekend of the boxing hall of fame, is looking to take the boxing world by storm. Regis Prograis is currently ranked #4 by the WBC.
Prograis vs. Diaz Jr. is a 10-Round NABF title bout, presented by DiBella Entertainment. THe “ShoBox: The Next Generation” telecast on Showtime will begin at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the first bout at 7:30 p.m.

The undefeated Prograis (19-0, 16 KOs) and fellow unbeaten Diaz (23-0, 19 KOs) will square off in the 10-round super lightweight main event of a Hall of Fame edition of ShoBox: The New Generation tomorrow/Friday, June 9, live on SHOWTIME (10:30 p.m. ET/PT) from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y.
The ShoBox tripleheader will celebrate longtime analysts Barry Tompkins and Steve Farhood just two days before their induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Farhood and Tompkins were joined at the Opening Bell on Thursday by a handful of their fellow 2017 inductees: boxing legend Marco Antonio Barrera, Australian trainer Johnny Lewis, and the wife of the late Johnny Tapia, Teresa Tapia.
