Long List Of Weekend Boxing Matches and MMA Action Provided Mixed Results For Bettors

Mirko Filipovic vs Gonzaga

This past weekend was loaded with boxing and MMA action from all over the world. The UFC made it’s debt in Poland with a card headlined by Mirko “CroCop” as he took on Gabriel Gonzaga for the second time in his career.

In boxing, the big news was in Brooklyn and undefeated Danny Garcia faced off against Lamont Peterson on the “Premier Boxing Champions” CBS broadcast.  Peter Quillin and Andy Lee dueled for the WBO world title at middleweight on that card as well.

The ongoing Combat Sports Betting Blog was active this past weekend, taking out three bets from the world of MMA and three bets on boxing as we look to recoup from losses the past two weeks.  Not only did UFC hit Poland, but the Bellator 136 event and the World Series of Fighting 20 event both went down on Friday night.

In boxing, there were events in Russia, Argentina, England and all over the U.S. We narrowed his choices down to three bets in boxing and three bets from the world of MMA.  In the end, a play to parlay the six bets together was also created, but that was not to be.

Check out the full results, as we went 4-2 overall on the six bets we took out, just about breaking even and leaving our ongoing, fictitious bank roll at around $1500 heading into some of the busiest months on the combat sports calendar.
