Photo from El Rey Network

The last episode of Lucha Underground featured a second win for Mascarita Sagrada over Son of Havoc, a win for Big Ryck over Prince Puma in a Boyle Heights Street Fight, and an unexpected alliance in Chavo Guerrero and Pentagon Jr..

This recap is part of a series that is recapping the entirety of Lucha Underground. If you would like to catch up on previous recaps, click here for the recap of the last episode. Currently, Lucha Underground airs Wednesdays on El Rey Network.

Son of Havoc vs. Pimpinela Escarlata
Son of Havoc is in the ring with Ivelisse, and Ivelisse is complaining for Son of Havoc. Now she says that he is tired of fighting a woman, or someone half his size. After issuing an open challenge to any man in the back, out comes Pimpinela Escarlata.

Pimpinela Escarlata is a very flamboyant wrestler, but very effective in the ring. The gimmick is very similar to Gorgeous George, which Matt Striker notes that Escarlata was to thank for the revival of this type of gimmick in the 80s.

After Ivelisse interferes a little too much in the match, Mascarita Sagrada, Son of Havoc’s opponent from last week, comes down to even the odds. Taking advantage of the distraction, Pimpinela Escarlata kisses Son of Havoc and gets a roll-up victory. Winner: Pimpinela Escarlata

Backstage Segment
Johnny Mundo, frustrated with Big Ryck, Cisco and Cortez Castro, finds Dario Cueto backstage and threatens him. Cueto manages to convince Mundo to let him go, and Mundo takes a key for “insurance.”

Famous B vs. Mil Muertes (w/Catrina)
Famous B has no chance in the match. Mil Muertes has soundly defeated his opponents over the last few weeks, and he is still undefeated. Famous B started the match by playing to the crowd, and Mil Muertes took advantage, giving Famous B no chance.

After a very fast and dominant match, Mil Muertes hits the Flatliner for the victory. Winner: Mil Muertes

Drago vs. King Cuerno
Two weeks ago, King Cuerno debuted on Lucha Underground, and ended up losing to Drago. Being “The Hunter” that he is, Cuerno stalked Drago during his match last week against Mil Muertes, and attacked Drago after the match. This week, Drago looks to get even.

Before the match starts, we get some backstory on Drago. Apparently Drago is a dragon reincarnated into a man, or something.

Last week during Son of Havoc’s match against Mascarita Sagrada, an unknown woman was in the stand watching the match. This week she enters the stands for this match, which features two completely different competitors, and stares angrily for a little while, then leaves.

After a great match, King Cuerno hits The Thrill of the Hunt (modified Michinoku Driver) on Drago for the win. Winner: King Cuerno

In-ring Segment
On the premiere episode of Lucha Underground, Johnny Mundo earned $100,000 by being the most impressive wrestler of the night. At the end of the night, Big Ryck and his crew stepped in and robbed him of the money. Johnny Mundo is here to get his money back.

During Mundo’s demands for the money, Big Ryck comes out to stop him, which Mundo responds with a big splash. Konnan appears at the top of the stands, and says that Mundo owes the money to Prince Puma, since Puma has been the target of several attacks by Big Ryck and his crew. Prince Puma comes out and he brawls with Johnny Mundo, leading to several officials stopping them.

Dario Cueto finally had enough, and will give away his $100,000. However, it will be to whoever earns it in a triple threat ladder match between Johnny Mundo, Big Ryck, and Prince Puma.

Chavo Guerrero & Pentagon Jr. vs. Fenix & Sexy Star
Last week, Chavo Guerrero and Pentagon Jr. formed an unlikely alliance during a match between Sexy Star and Guerrero. Luckily for Sexy Star, Fenix came out to make the save, and tonight the four collide.

Fenix hits the double knees from the top rope, and Sexy Star gets the pin on Pentagon Jr. to get the win and end this episode of Lucha Underground. Winners: Sexy Star & Fenix
