Manny Machado returned to Baltimore on Tuesday night for the first time since the Orioles traded him to the Dodgers last summer. He signed with the San Diego Padres in the offseason and received a resounding ovation when he took the plate for the first time. And then he homered later in the game. Meanwhile, the Orioles introduced the player they hope will become one of their next superstars, No. 1 pick Adley Rutschman. Elsewhere, MLB clubs continue to celebrate Pride Month, and the final round of All-Star voting begins.

It’s always interesting to see how fans receive formerly beloved players. Between Albert Pujols last week and Manny Machado on Tuesday, the response has been very positive.

Rutschman took a little longer to sign than some draft picks, but he’s met the deadline and is ready to rock in the Orioles system (of course, after the fanfare of Tuesday it’s off to the minors for at least a couple of years).

MLB is trying a new voting method for the All-Star starters. Sounds like fun.

Pride Month is wrapping up, and the Yankees had one of the strongest shows of support for the LGBTQ community yet with a new plaque in Monument Park.

Diamondbacks outfielder Adam Jones is funny. And he really, really wants to pitch.
