Manhattan Jaspers vs. Monmouth Hawks Free Prediction

In the Jaspers’ last game, they were topped by the Marist Red Foxes, 78-63. Getting to the charity stripe was one of Marist’s biggest advantages. They had 31 free throw attempts, while Manhattan had 28. Nehemiah Mack was Manhattan’s leading scorer with 17 points on 4-for-6 shooting.

The Hawks were beaten by the Quinnipiac Bobcats in their last outing, 89-83. Getting to the charity stripe was one of Quinnipiac’s largest strengths. They had 35 free throw attempts, while Monmouth had just 19. With 21 points and seven rebounds, Monmouth’s Ray Salnave had a good performance.

After splitting two games last season, these teams will clash for the first time this year. In the last matchup, the Jaspers won 93-76. The Jaspers made 33 of their 41 free throws (80.5 percent) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.667 vs. 0.500).

It could be a sloppy game for the Monmouth offense. Monmouth ranks 326th in the country in ball protection (turnover percentage of 22.5 percent), while the pesky defense of Manhattan forces the seventh-most turnovers in the nation (25.1 percent).
