The Gonzaga Bulldogs took care of business against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday night, emerging from Boise with a 90-84 victory in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. Gonzaga narrowly covered the 4.5-point spread in the win, moving on to the Sweet 16 in the process. The under never stood a chance of cashing, with the game sailing over the total of 144 by 30 points.

Gonzaga will look to continue its run against either the Xavier Musketeers or the Florida State Seminoles with a trip to the Elite Eight on the line. The Bulldogs will find out who they will face after their meeting on Sunday night. The betting odds for that showdown will be released soon by BetDSI Sportsbook. Gonzaga is likely to be a five- or six-point favorite over Florida State, but a matchup against Xavier would likely be lined as a pick ’em.

Rui Hachimura had a phenomenal performance in Gonzaga’s victory over Ohio State. Hachimura came off the bench and made his presence felt every time he stepped on the court. He went 9-11 from the floor and was a monster defensive presence as well, blocking four shots in the win.

Gonzaga’s Zach Norvell Jr. was another one of the team’s stars in the win. The freshman from Chicago led Gonzaga with 28 points and was fantastic from beyond the arc. Norvell was 6-11 from downtown, hitting a number of big shots to ensure that Gonzaga picked up the W. Although he is 6’5, he had a great game on the glass too, pulling in a game-high 12 rebounds.

After making it all the way to the NCAA Championship game last year, Gonzaga was lined at +2500 to win the NCAA Tournament by BetDSI this year. Florida State was listed as a longshot at +28000, while Xavier was given around the same odds at +2200.
