The Miami Marlins will be facing off against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. NBC Sports Chicago will televise this NL showdown and the game is scheduled to get underway at 8:05 p.m. ET.

The Marlins have gone 13-21 SU this year and are 17-16 against the spread (ATS). They’ve gained 1.3 units for moneyline gamblers in the season’s early going, despite having lost 1.7 units ATS. Miami’s covered the spread five times in its last seven games and the under has hit in five of those seven. The Cubs, on the other hand, are 17-15 SU and 13-18 ATS. They’ve lost 6.2 units for bettors taking the moneyline and 4.9 units ATS. Chicago has covered the spread just once in its last seven games and the under has cashed in five of those seven.

Jose Urena will get the start for the visiting Marlins. The right-handed Urena is 0-5 with a 4.28 ERA and 32 strikeouts. He’s 0-1 with two strikeouts and an 11.25 ERA against Chicago this year (two starts).

The Cubs will turn to righty Jen-Ho Tseng (0-0, ERA) to the mound. Tseng has zero strikeouts and zero walks to his name, as well as a WHIP. Tseng has yet to face the Marlins this year and did not record a start against them in 2017.

Miami’s pitching staff allowed 5.1 runs per game and its starting pitchers own a 4.50 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 7.95 K/9. The bullpen has managed an ERA of 5.15, along with a WHIP of 1.35.

Miami’s offensive production been powered by catcher J.T. Realmuto and first baseman Justin Bour. Realmuto is slashing .328/.403/.547 with 21 hits, eight RBIs and 12 runs scored, while Bour (.231/.333/.423) has produced 24 hits, six homers, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

Realmuto performed well against righties on the road last season. Over 247 such plate appearances, he put up a slash line of .343/.377/.584 (his overall season line was .278/.332/.451).

In the other dugout, Chicago’s pitchers have allowed 4.0 runs per game overall this season. Its starting pitching staff has a 3.88 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 8.1 strikeouts per nine innings. The bullpen has a solid ERA of just 2.72, a WHIP of 1.24 and a K/9 of 8.9.

The Chicago hitters are putting up 5.0 runs per contest, including 3.9 per game over its last 10 games and 5.4 per game over their last five. The team has a slash-line of .253/.299/.444 over its last five games and is 1-4 SU during that stretch.

Second baseman Javier Baez and third baseman Kris Bryant have led the Cubs’ hitters this year. Baez is slashing .285/.328/.650 with 10 home runs, 32 RBIs and 24 runs scored, and Bryant’s line sits at .290/.412/.561 with five homers, 15 RBIs and 18 runs.

The Marlins have gained 0.2 units and are 12-13 ATS when facing a righty starter this season. The over has hit in 10 of those games, compared to 15 that’ve gone under in such games. On the other hand, the Cubs have lost 3.8 units and are 10-12 ATS when facing a right-handed starting pitcher. The over’s hit in 10 of those games, compared to 12 which went under the total.
