Milwaukee (+140) is hosting this game as the underdog against Colorado (-150) and Vegas has the Over/Under for this one at 12 runs. The odds for wagering on the game’s total sit at -105 for the over and -115 for the under. You can also bet on the game’s spread with the most recent runline odds standing at -155 for the Brewers +1.5 runs and +135 for the Rockies -1.5.

The Brewers have gone 21-16 SU this year and are 20-16 against the spread (ATS). They’ve gained 6.9 units for moneyline gamblers through the early portions of the year and 3.3 units ATS. The Rockies are putting the ball in the right hand of German Marquez (2-3, 4.76 ERA), who has 35 strikeouts and 16 walks this season as well as a 1.47 WHIP. Marquez only made one start against the Brewers in 2017 (1-0, 6.35 ERA and six strikeouts across five and 2-third innings).

As a unit, Colorado’s pitching staff has given up 4.4 runs per game overall in 2018. The team’s starters have an ERA of 3.79, a WHIP of 1.24 and a strikeouts-per-nine of 8.3. The bullpen has a 5.02 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 9.3 K/9.

The Colorado hitters have put up 3.9 runs per contest, including 3.4 per game over its last 10 games and 3.4 per game over their last five. The team has hit .245/.339/.399 over its last five contests and is 4-1 SU during that stretch.

The Rockies’ offense has been led by third baseman Nolan Arenado and right fielder Charlie Blackmon. Arenado is slashing .322/.415/.609 with eight home runs, 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored, and Blackmon’s line is .281/.387/.579 with 11 homers, 20 RBIs and 29 runs scored.

Arenado saw a minor drop-off in production when facing righty pitching last season. Across 513 plate appearances, he slashed .272/.341/.502 (compared to his overall season line of .309/.373/.586).

In the visiting dugout, Milwaukee’s pitching staff allowed 3.8 runs per game and its starters own a 4.05 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 6.68 K/9. The bullpen has managed an outstanding ERA of just 2.61, along with a K-per-9 of 10.25.

Brewers hitters have slashed .234/.303/.378 on their way to 3.7 runs scored per game in 2018, including 3.0 runs per game over the team’s last 10 games and 2.8 per game over the team’s last five outings (2-3 SU).

Milwaukee’s offense has been powered by Lorenzo Cain and Eric Thames. Cain is hitting .274/.381/.435 with four home runs, 10 RBIs, 20 runs and eight stolen bases, while Thames is hitting .250/.351/.625 with seven homers, 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

The Brewers have gained 5.9 units and are 16-11 ATS when facing a righty starter this season. The over has cashed in nine of those games, compared to 17 that’ve gone under against right-handed starting pitchers.
