MLB Lines:  The Baltimore Orioles have emerged as one of the most profitable and best bets on the MLB board as the top team in the American League East although their worst board value as been at home.   The New York Yankees have had a lethargic season although they have played their best baseball on the road.

The Orioles will host the Yankees on Sunday night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards with coverage on ESPN starting at 8 PM ET.  The scheduled probable starters are Masahiro Tanaka for the Yankees and Chris Tillman for the Orioles.

Not So Dandy Yankees

New York was 27-21 on the road but a weak run line team at -404 units.  They ranked 17th for run production and 22nd for staff earned run average.  Tanaka has been outstanding with a 12-3 record and a 2.27 earned run average.  The Yankee bullpen ranked a poor 21st overall.

Run Line O’s

The Orioles were a so-so 23-21 at home but were +852 units on the run line.  Hitting was the strength of Baltimore as they ranked 7th for run production and 2nd for home runs.  The Orioles ranked 18th for staff ERA.  Tillman was 7-4 with a 4.11 ERA.

The Pick

Baltimore won 4 out of their first 6 games with the Yankees this year.  The Orioles have won 6 out of their last 9 home games with New York as just 6 out of the last 19 games at Camden Yards between the O’s and Yankees have gone under the total.  Tanaka is a fine starter but the Yankee bullpen is unreliable.  Baltimore on the run line is the call.
