MLB Lines – Best and Worst Bets on MLB Board

MLB Lines:   Last year the San Francisco Giants entered the season as the defending World Series champions but ended the season as one of the biggest bankroll busting money losers on the board and a team that lost more games than they won.  This year the Giants are roaring back to championship status as the leaders of the National League West and the top money maker on the MLB betting board.  The Boston Red Sox are going through what the Giants went through last year as they’ve lost the second largest amount of money on the betting board after winning the World Series last year.

Best Bets

The Giants are +1417 units and also +762 on the run line.  The Milwaukee Brewers have emerged as one of the top surprise teams on the board and were +1032 units and the surprise leader on the National League Central.  The Toronto Blue Jays have been as surprising as the Brewers and the surprise leader of the American League East Division.  The Oakland A’s are the top run line team on the board at +1422.  The upstart Miami Marlins are +553.

Worst Bets

The Tampa Bay Rays are -26980 units with the Boston Red Sox at -1352 as the bottom two teams of the American League East Division.  Two teams from the National League West are the next worst bets as the San Diego Padres were -1265 and the Arizona Diamondbacks are -1192.  Tampa Bay (-2634) and San Diego (-2772) are disasters on the run line.  The LA Dodgers are -844 on the money line but +1012 on the run line.

Outlook

The big question is how much longer Milwaukee, Miami, and Toronto can sustain success and if the Dodgers will lose momentum in the second half as they did last year.
