MLB News: Joe Buck Takes Postseason Fan Jab In Stride

Obviously, Joe Buck is no stranger to playing the role of heel. For example, last winter he said that the 2018 World Series was less than compelling to him. Indeed, the Los Angeles Dodgers losing in five games to the Boston Red Sox was not visually pleasing to the famous broadcaster.

However, Buck does a good job of taking his criticism and downright heckling in stride. Furthermore, this post is about a shirt spotted in the crowd of game five of the ALCS between the Yankees and Astros. Equally important, check out the graphic below; provided by Buck himself on Twitter.

A fan appears to wear a shirt that says ‘Joe Buck Sucks’. Moreover, the fan is standing in plain view behind home plate where a national audience can see him. Then, Buck caught wind of the tweet posted by an account on twitter. Next, he responded with a funny little tweet of his own.

“Where can I get one of these shirts? Asking for a friend.”

Surely, Buck can come off as annoying or even a little harsh on some subjects. With what being said, he’s probably earned the right. Remember, Buck doesn’t only call the prominent and deep postseason games for baseball; but he’s part of FOX’s top NFL broadcasting team with Troy Aikman.

In all fairness, he seems like a decent enough guy to where if you had a beer with him; you might even like the guy. On Tuesday night, you will hear the familiar voice of the fall classic over the dramatic backdrop roar of the Houston crowd.

Finally, it’s worth noting that America still has a bone to pick with Buck. While this is news and not an editorial, that’s worth further exploration as to why that sentiment exists. What’s more, Buck is still probably a pretty good guy who obviously knows in his line of work; humility can go a long way.
