MLB Predictions: Division Leaders Clash on Saturday Night on MLB Network as the Milwaukee Brewers visit the Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB Betting Odds:  It is a matchup of division leaders on Saturday night on MLB Network as the Milwaukee Brewers visit the Los Angeles Dodgers.  The home team will be heavily favored in this contest as they are expected to have Clayton Kershaw on the mound.  Kershaw has been outstanding all season and the Dodgers will be tough to beat on Saturday if Kershaw goes as expected. Let’s look at the game and MLB predictions.

Probable Pitchers – Gallardo vs. Kershaw

The Brewers should be going with Yovani Gallardo on Saturday night.  He has been solid but not spectacular this season for the team. He is 7-6 with a 3.44 ERA this season. He has been really good lately with a 2-1 record and a 2.50 ERA in his last three starts.  He has not pitched well in his career against the Dodgers with a 1-4 record and a 5.98 ERA.

Clayton Kershaw has been better than any pitcher in the league this season. He is 14-2 on the season with a 1.78 ERA.  He is on pace to win yet another Cy Young Award.  When he is the on the mound the team simply wins and it really doesn’t matter how high the odds go because the team simply doesn’t lose when he is on the mound.  He not only gives up very few hits and very few runs, he also pitched deep into games which means the bullpen is not needed for more than an inning or two, if at all.

Series Notes

The Brewers have held their own in this series of late, splitting the last ten meetings with two of the last three going under. Milwaukee took two of three at home last week in this series. They have also won six of the last ten in Los Angeles with four of the last five going over.

MLB Predictions

It hasn’t mattered how high the number on Kershaw and the Dodgers lately as he has simply been great. We’ll lay the big number and go with the Dodgers to win this one at home.
