Major League Baseball is marking America’s semiquincentennial by having each team wear newly designed uniforms and caps for their Fourth of July games, the league announced last month.
The USA 250 patch that appeared during Super Bowl LX and the 2026 NBA Finals will be displayed on the sleeve of every jersey and on the side of the caps throughout the July 4 slate, according to Major League Baseball.
The Toronto Blue Jays, MLB’s only club based outside the United States, will wear their traditional road uniforms but will don the special event caps. All 30 clubs are set to play on Independence Day, with game start times as early as 11:05 a.m. ET and as late as 10:10 p.m., the league said.
Major League Baseball has also planned fan engagement initiatives tied to the holiday. Among those efforts are four drive-in movie theaters across the country that will broadcast their local team’s matchup and host special game-day activities.
The league released designs for every team ahead of the holiday: Arizona Diamondbacks, Athletics, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals.
