Montana Grizzlies vs Pepperdine Waves Preview and Prediction

The Montana Grizzlies visit Firestone Fieldhouse to take on the Pepperdine Waves. The game starts at 6:30 pm ET on Sunday, Nov. 29.

The Waves are hoping to rebound after their 69-53 loss to Drake on Wednesday. Stacy Davis was the team’s leading scorer, contributing 13 points. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, are coming off a deflating 73-53 loss against North Dakota State on Wednesday. Martin Breunig played well, posting his second double-double of the season with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Pepperdine, an eight-point favorite, will look to capitalize at home against Montana. The Over/Under (O/U) for the matchup is sitting at 133 points. The Waves enter the game with records of 2-4 Straight Up (SU) and 1-4 Against The Spread (ATS). Teams really have to fight for three-pointers against the Waves, who have allowed only 4.0 three-pointers to opponents per game. Montana has a habit of getting in foul trouble (24.2 fouls per game), so expect the Waves to get a number of opportunities from the free throw line.

On the other side, Montana has a SU record of 2-2 and an ATS record of 1-2. Teams don’t seem to hit many three-pointers against the Grizzlies, who are 19th in the country in terms of three-point field goals allowed at 22 this season.

This game will be the first meeting for Pepperdine and Montana in recent seasons.

Predictions: SU Winner – Pepper, ATS Winner – Pepper, O/U – Over
