Morgan State Bears at CSUN Matadors Betting Prediction

In the Bears’ last matchup, they were blown out by the No. 9 Villanova Wildcats, 100-77. Getting to the free throw line was one of Villanova’s largest advantages. They made 27 trips to the line, while Morgan State went just 10 times. Isaiah Burke was Morgan State’s high scorer with 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting.

The Matadors lost a close one to the New Mexico Lobos in their last matchup, 87-84. Getting to the free throw line was one of New Mexico’s largest strengths. They had 29 free throw attempts, while CSUN had 21. CSUN’s Lamine Diane had a good performance, leading both teams in scoring with 34 points on 15-for-28 shooting.

After the Matadors won the only game against the Bears last season, 79-69, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. CSUN did a great job of getting and making free throws (21-30; 70.0 percent). Morgan State, meanwhile, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (51.1 vs. 25.8).

Diane has averaged 0 points over the last five games for CSUN.

It could be a sloppy game for the CSUN offense. CSUN ranks 242nd in the country in ball protection (turnover percentage of 20.3 percent), while the ball-hawking defense of Morgan State forces the 31st-most turnovers in the nation (24.0 percent).
