French Open Odds: The top two betting choices to win the 2014 French Open are Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Nadal has been a master on clay throughout his career and he has been dominant at Roland Garros, winning 8 of the last 9 titles. Djokovic is ranked second in the world and he is coming off a win against Nadal in Rome two weeks ago. Let’s look at the current odds and French Open predictions.

2014 French Open Odds

You can bet on a couple of different options with Nadal and Djokovic. You can bet on either of them or you can take the field. You can also choose to bet any number of other players at longshot odds. Nadal is a slight favorite with odds of 7-5 while Djokovic is 8-5. If you think neither of them will win the title you can take the rest of the field at odds of just over 2-1. It is hard to make a case for any of the other players though as everyone else in the field is listed with odds of 14-1 or more. Stanislas Wawrinka is the third ranked player in the world and he is 14-1. David Ferrer is listed at 20-1, Roger Federer is 25-1 Andy Murray is 28-1 and Kei Nishikori is 45-1.

Nadal has not been as good this season on clay as the lost in the quarterfinals in Monte Carlo and Barcelona before winning a tough match against Nishikori in Madrid. He then lost in the final two weeks ago in Rome to Djokovic. Nadal has been virtually untouchable at Roland Garros, winning 59 of his 60 matches.

French Open Predictions

This could be the year that Djokovic finally breaks though and beats Nadal at Roland Garros. He nearly did it last year before losing 9-7 in the fifth set. Djokovic has beaten Nadal in their last four matches and if his wrist holds up then he should finally get past Nadal and win the French Open. I will go with Djokovic at odds of 8-5 and for my longshot I will take Nishikori at 45-1.
