Nathan Pine, the athletic director, was nominated to the NCAA baseball committee

Director of Athletics, Air Force As with the 2022–23 season, Nathan Pine will serve on the NCAA Division I baseball committee. Pine stated that it was an honor to be chosen to represent the Air Force and the Mountain West in this significant committee assignment. “I look forward to contributing to the growth of the NCAA Baseball Championship, the sport, and the student-athlete experience.”

 

The 10-person NCAA baseball committee accepts suggestions for rule modifications and amendments from coaches, umpires, and conferences in addition to choosing the field for the NCAA tournament. The committee also makes recommendations to the NCAA baseball rules committee for rule modifications and amendments.

Since moving to Colorado Springs in January 2019, Pine has served as the Air Force Academy’s director of athletics for the past five academic years. Pine was the director of athletics at Holy Cross from 2013 until 2018, where he oversaw the Crusader program. Pine then transferred to the Air Force. Since his arrival, the Air Force has had significant success.
