The national coordinator of officials for NCAA men’s basketball is Chris Rastatter

The NCAA has selected Chris Rastatter as its national coordinator for men’s basketball officiating, starting as of Thursday. Rastatter has 27 years of experience refereeing collegiate basketball. Rastatter succeeds J.D. Collins, who will leave the role he has held since 2015 in October.

Since 1995, Rastatter has officiated men’s basketball matches predominantly in the western region of the nation. He has worked 19 NCAA tournaments throughout the course of his career, including assignments for the Men’s Final Four in 2019, when he served as an alternate, and the national semifinal between Baylor and Houston in 2021. In 2003, Rastatter worked the NCAA Division II men’s basketball championship game as well. Rastatter served as the Southern Arizona Officials Camp’s director from 1996 until 2019, where he was in charge of all presentation design, video production, and training for the camp’s mechanics and foundations sessions. He also handled scheduling for camping trips.
