NBA Daily Fantasy Cheatsheet For Tuesday

After a very quiet Monday night in the NBA, the action will pick up big time around the association on Tuesday with eight games on the schedule. That means there will be plenty of options to choose from when building a winning lineup in NBA Daily Fantasy Leagues and while it’s always nice to have a range of options it can be that much more difficult to narrow down which players to build around and which players to avoid for fantasy purposes. Here is some important fantasy advice to consider for Tuesday’s NBA action.

Weak Defense To Target: New Orleans Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost four straight games and are alone in the Western Conference basement but they still have just three fewer wins than the New Orleans Pelicans and when it comes to Daily Fantasy Leagues it makes a lot more sense to target some smart value options from the Lakers than it does to start the overpriced options from the Pelicans. There is no denying that Anthony Davis is an absolute fantasy stud for New Orleans but he is also one of the most expensive options on the board and it makes a lot more sense to target some of the better value options from Los Angeles instead. Lou Williams has put up some monster numbers of late including 23.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.3 three-point shots and 1.3 steals per game over the last week of action and his relatively cheap price tag makes him an excellent value play. The Pelicans rank 28th in the NBA with an average of 106.0 points per game allowed this season so it might not be a bad idea to target either Jordan Clarkson as another decent value option in Daily Fantasy Leagues.

Player Who’s Hot Right Now: Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks

Nowitzki is well past his prime but he has still put up decent averages for Dallas this season and he has been particularly hot of late. Nowitzki has averaged 24.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 three-point shots and 1.3 assists per game over the last week of action and the timing couldn’t be better with the Mavericks set to host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Dallas will need Nowitzki to produce another strong stat line in order to keep up with the defending Eastern Conference champion Cavaliers so it’s worth taking a shot on him in Daily Fantasy Leagues on Tuesday night.

Injuries, Rest Create Opportunities For… Ian Mahinmi, Nikola Mirotic

The Indiana Pacers have given Ian Mahinmi more time at the center position and he has rewarded their faith in him with some solid averages over the past couple of weeks. Mahinmi has averaged 12.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 assists per game over the last week of action and should be a strong value option matched up against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have taken a much different approach this season under head coach Fred Hoiberg including giving more minutes to young players such as Nikola Mirotic. Mirotic has heated up of late with 16.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 three-point shots, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steal per game over the past seven days and he should produce another strong fantasy stat line when the Bulls visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.

Highest Scoring Game Of The Night: OKC @ MIN

The Oklahoma City Thunder can score points in bunches and while Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are clearly their top two options it might be worth targeting Steven Adams as a potential sleeper in Daily Fantasy League action. Adams has received more playing time from head coach Billy Donovan of late and he has rewarded his coach’s faith in him by averaging 12.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 block per game over the last week of action. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves might not score enough points to win this game but they should be able to hang around for a while thanks to the play of Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns. Wiggins and Towns are a little more expensive but Shabazz Muhammad has been an excellent sleeper option of late including averages of 16.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 three-point shot per game over the last week of action so don’t be shy about taking a chance on him for Tuesday’s action.
