NBA News: LeBron James Reacts to Bronny’s First High School Dunk

Sierra Canyon played the second of their 15 nationally televised games, more than several NBA teams such as the Knicks, Wizards, Nets, Raptors, Heat, and Spurs, on Friday night. The Trailblazers came away with a 75-54 win over St. Augustine in the San Diego Tip-Off Challenge.

The high school has put out some of the most star-studded rosters in recent years, and this year is no exception with Bronny James and Zaire Wade, sons of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, respectively. The team also features Kentucky commit BJ Boston, Ziaire Williams, and Amari Bailey, all of whom are top-10 players nationally in their graduating classes.

While Bronny is just a freshman, he has quickly been making the most of his opportunities. He threw down his first dunk on Friday night, the video of which quickly made the rounds on Twitter.

One person who was glad he was able to see the highlight via social media was none other than LeBron. The Lakers played the Thunder in OKC on Friday, so he was unable to attend his son’s game.

“It was bittersweet for me, obviously I would love to be there. It’s my sons first high school basketball game so that was the bitter part of it,” LeBron told reporters after the game. “The sweet part of it is technology is amazing.

“I got an opportunity to have dinner with one of my best friends in (Thunder guard Chris Paul) and also watch my son and my nephew . . . So thank God for technology.”
