For Florida State, Deondre Francois completed 15-of-30 passes for 129 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Francois (-13 yards on 11 rush attempts) and Cam Akers (46 yards on 11 carries) mounted the ground game in the defeat as D.J. Matthews (five receptions, 15 yards) and Tamorrion Terry (two catches, 37 yards, one TD) led the Florida State pass-catchers.

Wake Forest has run the ball on 60.7 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Florida State has an overall rush percentage of 49.8 percent.
