Taking on dominant teams from smaller conferences is always a tricky proposition, which is why Indiana fans aren’t particularly thrilled with their first round match up. The Mocs are very, very balanced with eight players averaging seven or more points per game, and they knock down free throws when given the opportunity. If there’s a low-major that can make a lot of noise this tournament, the Mocs have to be in consideration for that role.

USC

The Trojans aren’t a small school, but the disrespect thrown their way so far in bracket analysis is mind boggling. USC is incredibly talented, especially on the perimeter, but can hurt you in so many different ways when they’re engaged on the defensive end. Andy Enfield lets this team play loose as can be, which has to work in their favor during March.

The Lumberjacks had a few cracks at major programs during the beginning of the season, failing to do anything of note with any of those opportunities. However, that was then and this is now. Now, SFA has run off 20-straight wins and is entering March as confident as any Cinderella candidate you could imagine. West Virginia is a difficult opening match up, but these boys can play.
