Much like I’m “done” receiving late night phone calls and “U up?” texts from Margot Robbie, embattled wide receiver Antonio Brown is “done” playing in the NFL.

Such was the tweet the current NFL free agent sent out Sunday morning, complaining, apparently, that the New England Patriots were refusing to honor the “guaranteed” portion of his one-year contract, specifically a $9 million signing bonus the team won’t pay him.

Will not be playing in the @NFL anymore these owners can cancel deals do whatever they want at anytime we will see if the @NFLPA hold them accountable sad they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up !

Needless to say, there’ll be some kind of recourse with the NFLPA and some arbitration over the guaranteed money, but I find it impossible to believe that there isn’t some kind of “conduct” language in New England’s deal with Brown that exes it all out. I mean, if they didn’t have that in there, that’s just insane. They knew who they were dealing with.

The tweet above is the last of a barrage A.B. sent out Sunday morning, all since deleted. In this angry and unhinged tweet storm, Brown posted articles about Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s prostitution arrest, his former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s sexual assault allegations from 2009 and 2010 and Fox Analyst and NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe’s 2010 sexual assault allegation.

Sharpe and Roethlisberger were never charged with a crime.

He also shared a tweet where Sports Illustrated writer Robert Klemko, who is receiving threats online from Patriots fans for his accurate reporting on Brown’s sexual assault and rape accusations. Brown posted the tweet, writing “System working effectively.”

So, yeah. Just another day in the clown car of Antonio Brown’s 2019 NFL “season.”
