Denver Broncos linebacker Todd Davis left practice on a cart Thursday after what’s been called a calf “tweak.” Davis is set to undergo an MRI. Davis was an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State in 2014. He was originally signed by the New Orleans Saints and appeared in three games before getting waived and picked up by the Broncos.

Davis has started the last three seasons with Denver. Last year, he recorded 114 tackles, six for a loss, half a sack, seven passes defended, one interception and one defensive touchdown.

Ravens’ Marquise Brown opens camp on Non-Football Injury List

It might be a little while before Baltimore Ravens first round pick Marquise Brown takes the field with his team. After undergoing Lisfranc surgery before he was drafted, Brown will open camp on the Active/Non-Football Injury list.

Brown, a standout at Oklahoma, injured his foot last season against Texas in the Big 12 Championship. He’s been cleared for individual drills, but not full participation. Last season with the Sooners, Brown caught 75 passes for 1,318 yards and two touchdowns.

Booker on Cardinals PUP list

Brown isn’t the only rookie hobbled as NFL training camps begin. Arizona Cardinals linebacker Dante Booker will open the preseason on the physically unable to perform list. He will not be allowed to practice with the team while he has that designation.

Booker joined Arizona as an undrafted free agent this offseason. His health was a recurrent issue with the Buckeyes. He played in six games in 2018, recording 12 tackles, three for a loss and one sack.
