The Falcons have some climbing to do.

Click here for Part 1 of the NFL Power Rankings.

Houston Texans Logo12. Houston Texans – (0-0) The Texans have done pretty much all they could do to improve their team this offseason, with the boldest move being signing former Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler. Houston will be better, but they need to get off to a fast start and show it.

New York Jets Logo13. New York Jets – (0-0) The Jets came up a Ryan Fitzpatrick interception short of making the playoffs last season. I don’t think they’ll get that close this year.

Dallas Cowboys Logo14. Dallas Cowboys – (0-0) Maybe it wouldn’t be a mistake for Tony Romo to start looking for property in the New Jersey or Buffalo area. Dak Prescott makes his official professional football debut and it he’s just 85 percent as good as he was in the preseason, the Cowboys have found their quarterback of the future.

Indianapolis Colts Logo15. Indianapolis Colts – (0-0) Andrew Luck is healthy again and has a nice fat wallet to land on when he’s sacked 100 times behind the shoddy Indianapolis offensive line. The Colts have done a lot through the draft and free agency to get better up front. How they finish this season will have a lot to do with how quickly they can gel.

Buffalo Bills Logo16. Buffalo Bills – (0-0) Last year at this time Bills fans were all asking, “Who’s Tyrod Taylor?” After the team signed him to a laughable extension, those same fans will soon be asking, “When can we get rid of Tyrod Taylor?”

Oakland Raiders Logo17. Oakland Raiders – (0-0) The Raiders have become a trendy playoff pick thanks to some exciting players like Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack. It’s all those other players that will keep them from making it.

Atlanta Falcons Logo18. Atlanta Falcons – (0-0) The Falcons came out of the gate strong last season before choking away their season. If they keep both hands on the football and not around their own throats this year, they should be fine.

New York Giants Logo19. New York Giants – (0-0) I almost put Ben McAdoo as a potential coach of the year candidate and he may do it. But it will all come down to how Eli and the offense respond in the fourth quarter this year.

New Orleans Saints Logo20. New Orleans Saints – (0-0) At the end of last season we didn’t know if Sean Payton or Drew Brees would be back with the Saints. Now both are locked in with big contracts for at least the next couple of years.

Baltimore Ravens Logo21. Baltimore Ravens – (0-0) I want to see playoffs Joe Flacco show up in the regular season this year. How about it?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – (0-0) So much has gone right for the Bucs, it’s a shame to put them this low. Still, they’re in a division where they could finish with a winning record and still be fourth.

Philadelphia Eagles logo23. Philadelphia Eagles – (0-0) Doug Pederson traded away any chance at a playoff spot when he dealt Bradford to the Vikings. And he doesn’t care. But the Browns will.

Chicago Bears Logo24. Chicago Bears – (0-0) The Bears aren’t as bad as everyone seems to think, but that doesn’t mean they’re good.

St Louis Rams logo25. Los Angeles Rams – (0-0) The road to more 7-and-9 bulls–t begins!

Jacksonville Jaguars Logo26. Jacksonville Jaguars – (0-0) I actually saw a prediction today that the Jags would jump the Texans and Colts and with the AFC South outright. Man, the beginning the season is a fun, crazy time.

Miami Dolphins Logo27. Miami Dolphins – (0-0) Adam Gase has three years to get this team to the playoffs. I think he’ll do it. But not this year.

Detroit Lions Logo28. Detroit Lions – (0-0) The Jim Caldwell farewell tour is under way.

Cleveland Browns Logo29. Cleveland Browns – (0-0) Hue Jackson came to the Browns with one of the worst NFL rosters in the league. Cleveland has made the moves, via trades, to do just that. This this year is going to be rough even if Robert Griffin III doesn’t seem to think so.

Tennessee Titans logo30. Tennessee Titans – (0-0) Of all the NFL head coaches named after horse crap, the Titans’ Mike Mularkey has to be the worst one.

San Diego Chargers Logo31. San Diego Chargers – (0-0) The good news for the Chargers is it looks like the NFL really wants them to stay in San Diego. The bad news for the Chargers is it looks like the people of San Diego couldn’t care less.

San Fransisco 49ers logo32. San Francisco 49ers – (0-0) Stand, kneel, sit, do jumping jacks. None of it’s going to matter. You suck.
