NFL Week 6 Opening Odds Report

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Week 6 of the NFL season presents our first action overseas. The Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks will clash in London — we’ll go over the line for that matchup as well as every other contest for NFL Week 6:

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants

Opening Odds: Eagles -2.5

How good are the Eagles? They have now lost three of their last four games with their defense giving up at least 23 points in each contest. They are a 2.5-point favorite in this spot but they have just one more win than the Giants this season.

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings

Opening Odds: Vikings -9.5

The Cardinals earned their first win of the season in San Francisco. They figure to have a much tougher time this week against a Vikings team that looks like they’ve woken up. Minnesota earned a quality win in Philadelphia in Week 5.

Chicago Bears at Miami Dolphins

Opening Odds: Bears -2

The Dolphins have crumpled over the last two weeks. First, they were blown out by the New England Patriots and then they blew a 17-3 second half lead in Cincinnati. Their 3-0 start has long been forgotten.

Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins

Opening Odds: Redskins -2

The Redskins return off their bye week to host Carolina. The Panthers were very lucky to escape Week 5 with a win over the New York Giants. They needed a last-second 63-yard field goal to edge them out.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals

Opening Odds: Bengals -3

They don’t get much love, but the Bengals are a healthy 4-1 this season with their only loss coming at Carolina. Pittsburgh continues to be sloppy but they can get right back in the division race with a win here.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons

Opening Odds: Falcons -3.5

Once viewed as a playoff contender, the Falcons are nothing short of a disaster at 1-4. They’ll host the Bucs in this spot, who are coming off a bye week.

Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots

Opening Odds: Patriots -3.5

This will be the marquee matchup of the week. The Chiefs have yet to lose, while the Patriots are back in a groove after winning their last two games by a combined score of 76-31.

Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans

Opening Odds: Texans -8.5

The Bills have been a Jekyll-Hyde team this season, beating the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings, but also getting smoked by the Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens. They’re a big dog at Houston this week.

Los Angeles Rams at Denver Broncos

Opening Odds: Rams -6.5

The Rams are a perfect 5-0 and face a reeling Broncos team that’s lost four in a row. Keep in mind that the Rams might be shorthanded here as receivers Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks suffered concussions last week.

Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans

Opening Odds: Ravens -2

It feels like these two teams will be fighting for a wild card berth at the end of the season, so this matchup is important. Both teams lost as road favorites in Week 5.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Dallas Cowboys

Opening Odds: Jaguars -2

The Jaguars defense was shredded by Kansas City last week. They have a much more manageable task in front of them in Dallas this week.

Other Opening Odds:

San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers

Opening Odds: Packers -7.5

Los Angeles Chargers at Cleveland Browns

Opening Odds: Chargers -1

Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets

Opening Odds: Jets -2.5

Seattle Seahawks at Oakland Raiders

Opening Odds: Seahawks -2
